Hey Nick, thanks for listening to our book. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Indeed, Mark Long is UK based author and trust me, dialects are not my strong suit. And in the voice-over world, there's a rule of thumb: If you can't fool natives with your accent, then don't do it. If you liked this book, we did a sequel at http://podiobooks.com/title/more-sonic-fiction/. Give it a listen!

This collection of short stories is very well read. The quality of the stories, not surprisingly, does vary. There are a few very strong stories, but even the weaker ones, which tend to rather simplistic feel-good vignettes for which you wait for the nasty twist, but there isn't one - even these have somed egree of attraction and interest. I'd rate the stories on a range from 3 to 5. The only disconcerting thing about it all is that some at least of the stories are based in England, which clashes with the narrator's American accent. At least he doesn't try to put on an English accent, which would be far worse.
