From what I have heard, this remastering uses newly recorded stuff, but also reuses parts of the original podcast. That will account for the difference in audio quality. But indeed the levels are sometimes off. I have encountered that problem as well. BTW, the older version is an abridged version. Will review this story later.By: Greg
I guess you know that chapters 14 and 15 are the same file ?By: Aeka
I have the same problems as Steve. It sounds as if some audio sections were heavily compressed with filters applied to reduce the noise - giving it the "hollow" tin can sound. Also, the audio levels are not consistent per voice. Sometimes I can't pickup some of the voices so I'd have to boost up the volume on my iPod. The next voice blares too much. I've never listened to Morevi and I wanted to go through it fresh with the remastered version, but I'll probably have to listen to the older version instead. Pity.
